Sanjay Dutt’s daughter Trishala Dutt often leads to headlines for her social media posts. Back in the year 2019, Trishala lost her Italian boyfriend and she often expressed her loss on social media with some really heartbreaking posts. Recently, Trishala conducted Q&A session on Instagram, where she talked about her personal life. Talking about facing traumatic experiences, Trishala went on to talk about struggling with major losses in her life and how it helped her go beyond healing to become an improved version of herself. When asked what she values most in her life, she replied, ‘Everyone hopes they’ll avoid the worst life has to offer such as accidents, illness, loss or violence. Unfortunately, few of us will get through life unscathed. But it’s not all bad news. Trauma can also be a powerful force for positive chance. Post-traumatic growth can be transformative. Post-traumatic growth can be powerful’ Furthermore, she added, ‘For me personally, trauma sent me on a path I would have never found otherwise. Growth begins with healing from trauma and with that, people have the capacity to do far more than just heal. Given the right environment & mindset, again, for me personally, I can change using the trauma, the suffering & struggle that ensues as an opportunity to reflect, & search for meaning in my life to ultimately become a better version of myself.’ Trishala said that she has learned to make peace with pain as she also added, ‘Instead of running away from it, I’ve learned to make friends with my trauma, loss, and pain. The goal is not to eliminate it because the pain will always be there. The goal is to manage it. And I’m okay with that.’ Earlier in an another Q and A session on Instagram, one of the users asked her about Sanjay Dutt’s drug addiction and her opinion on it, to which she had said, ‘First, it’s important to note that addiction is a chronic disease characterised by drug seeking and use that is compulsive or difficult to control, despite harmful consequences. The Initial decision to take drugs is voluntary for most people, but repeated drug use can lead to brain changes that challenge an addicted person’s self-control and interfere with their ability to resist intense urges to take drugs.’ For the unversed, Trishala, who is Sanjay Dutt’s eldest child with late first wife Richa Sharma is currently working in New York, as a psychotherapist.
